Marco Racco

Marco welcomes you to Olive Tree Yoga and Pilates Studio where his classes are a synthesis of nurturing mind and body discipline, while acknowledging each individual’s strengths and challenges, and the importance of enjoying the yogic path to cultivating good health.

As a Yoga and Pilates teacher, Marco brings to his classes a wealth of knowledge. Graduating from the Shiatsu School of Canada in 1997, Marco is a trained Acupuncture and Shiatsu therapist. Through his classes, Marco shares with students his understanding of the body and its energetic system, which is grounded in Eastern Medical Theory.

Marco’s Yoga practice spans 15 years and various styles such as Zen Imagery Exercises, Viny Yoga, Dynamic Yoga, and Ashtanga Yoga. Trained at Stott Pilates, Marco adheres to the original Pilates method, but also incoporates his own style of building core strength and awareness. As a complement, Marco has a passion for other arts that include Aikido, Tai Chi, and Herbalism.


Aylin Rita Yousef  MDN, CNP, RNCP, ROHP

Registered Nutritionist

Aylin Yousef has a diploma in Holistic Nutrition from the Institute of Holistic Nutrition, Masters Diploma in Nutrition from Edison Institute and a Certificate in Iridology. Aylin is a Certified Nutritional Practitioner by the Certified Nutritional Practitioners Council of Canada, and is a Registered Nutritional Consulting Practitioner [RNCP] and Registered Orthomolecular Health Practitioner [ROHP] by the International Organization of Nutritional Consultants (IONC).

Aylin is also a certified coach in Metabolic Balance (MB); MB is a healthy balanced all natural individualized nutritional meal plan. More than 30 blood value results are used to create a program based on the individuals’ nutritional needs. This program is designed to restore and maintain a balanced metabolism; leading to healthy weight loss and hormonal balance. Metabolic Balance was developed by German medical doctor, Dr. Wolf Funfack and his team of physicians & Nutritional scientists. There is more than 20 years of clinical research & practical experience behind this program.

Aylin assess’ each individual through Symptomatology, Iridology and Nutrition. She conducts an in depth research and creates a personalized program with respect to the individuals’ biochemistry through proper diet, lifestyle and supplementation (vitamins, minerals, amino acids, trace elements, fatty acids, herbs and homeopathy). Aylin also provides the following tests: Food Sensitivity (IgG), Candida, Celiac, Adrenal, Hormone (Female/Male), Essential fatty acid profile, Vitamin D and Hair mineral analysis.

Sandy McHugh

 

Sandy first discovered yoga in the fall of 2002. She started with gentle hatha yoga and now practices vinyassa, restorative, and yin yoga. Sandy works with all types of students including the elderly, and people with developmental and physical disabilities. She did her teacher basic training in 2007, then advanced in 2009, both at the Downward Dog Yoga Centre. Sandy loves being a student and teacher of yoga. Students are encouraged to make choices, practice mindfully and use modifications when needed. Sandy is also a Craniosacral Therapy and Reiki Practitioner.
